We Think Things for Doritos 

Pocko Social joined forces with Doritos and We Think Things to produce the most successful interactive social media campaign that PepsiCo has done to date: ‘Doritos A or B’ ! A fun concept which tied in brilliantly with Doritos’ bold brand messaging.

THE STORY

Last year, Doritos launched two new flavours, Sizzling Salsa and Ultimate Cheeseburger, through a television ad (what it here). There was just one catch… only one of the flavours would stay! In order to decide which of the two flavours would be crowned the winner, Doritos took to social media to ask their followers to come up with ways of eliminating their least favourite batch through a simple tweet. Whether it was getting a T-Rex to trample on it, or turning the tables and having it smashed to smithereens by a piñata, Doritos was committed to choose the boldest and most creative entries and bring them to life with an animation for people to share.

 
 

THE WORK

Along with Doritos' team, we gathered the craziest entries, and carefully selected some of the best ones. We worked closely with animation studio We Think Things to then bring these ideas to life. We needed to be reactive. We were challenged to produce a series of amazing, impactful and engaging images, animation and GIFs every week! Doritos were updating their social media platforms frequently with the new content, to keep their fans engaged.

THE RESULTS

We've produced the most successful interactive social media campaign that PepsiCo has done to date! Our content recorded the highest level of engagement that PepsiCo brands have ever had from their followers. There has been a variety of incredible entries, including tweets and posts by television personality Stephen Byrne, rugby player Jordi Murphy, and MMA fighter Paddy Holohan.
