‘got1give1’
Covid is shit, life is shit, we all need a bit of cheering up, because until everyone is vaccinated, no one is safe. Pocko Social were approached by Engine Creative Director Orlando Warner and CEO Emma-Jane Cross to help launch the birth of a new charity – Got1Give1. We invited Pocko’s German illustrator and concept queen Joni Majer to help activate the concept and quirky attitude of Got1Give1.
Got1Give1 is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to make Covid-19 vaccinations accessible to all, regardless of racial, social or economic capabilities. As we have learned, borders cannot keep viruses and disease at bay. We cannot hope for the end of this pandemic and a return to normality while only looking to protect and vaccinate those within our own countries. Until everyone around the globe has been vaccinated, Covid-19 will remain an imminent threat. With solidarity and kindness in mind, Got1Give1 are asking those who have been fortunate enough to have readily available access to the vaccines to give and donate one to a lower-income country that continues to struggle in protecting its population against this deadly virus.
The work
Using Joni Majer’s strong black and white line work, and concept driven illustrations, she started to give a unapologetic and witty humour to the charity. We wanted to shout from the rooftops 'FUCK YOU CORONAVIRUS’ and Joni captured this angst perfectly.
After delivering a suite of illustrated assets, we asked the incredible MUTE Studio from the Pocko motion roster to bring these illustrations to life! Sat on Got1Give1’s web and social media, these provocative animations are sure to catch your eye and think twice.
